Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney specializing in Tort Defense to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload and provide expert legal counsel in tort cases, ensuring the best outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in tort defense litigation matters in court and through negotiations.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide sound legal advice.
- Develop and implement defense strategies for various tort claims, including negligence and liability cases.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and legal developments in tort defense.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on tort defense.
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure and tort law.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
