Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Earlier today, this VP of Construction told me that one of his Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) is retiring, so he's urgently looking for his replacement.  This is a stable, growing company with a strong reputation and outstanding benefits:

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and nondestructive tests on welded assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Review and interpret welding codes, standards, and procedures to ensure they are followed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, reports, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to address potential quality issues during the welding process.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on quality control practices and safety standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality control programs and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, safety standards, and best practices in welding and inspection.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS).

Preferred Qualifications

• MT/PT/UT/VT endorsement (nondestructive testing methods and techniques)
• Detailing work
• CAD Experience
