*30%-40% travel for commissioning at client sites
Position Overview
The Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and control strategies for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and meet safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation control systems using PLCs and HMIs
- Develop and test control logic for various automation projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing control systems
- Commission new automation systems and ensure they meet project specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver optimal solutions
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and control narratives
- Utilize AutoCAD and other CAD software for design and layout of control panels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience with PLC programming and HMI development
- Familiarity with IPC hardware and installation processes
- Strong troubleshooting and testing skills in an industrial environment
- Experience with Rockwell software and Ignition platform is preferred
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control diagrams
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
