Labor & Employment Associate Attorney
Location: Walnut Creek, CA or Marin County, CACompensation: $175,000 - $215,000 Base Salary
Schedule: 100% Onsite (5 Days Per Week)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing California practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least three years of labor and employment experience who is looking for substantive litigation responsibility, direct client interaction, and long-term growth within a collaborative legal environment.The firm represents businesses in a broad range of employment-related matters and is seeking a motivated attorney who enjoys working closely with clients while handling sophisticated litigation and counseling matters.
What You'll Do
- Handle labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses.
- Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
- Advise employers on workplace issues, compliance matters, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist with witness preparation, case strategy, and trial preparation.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to achieve successful outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California Bar.
- 3 years of labor and employment law experience.
- Employment litigation experience required.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage matters and deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset and strong client-service skills.
