Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support senior attorneys in various legal matters, with a focus on insurance subrogation, mass tort, and personal injury cases. This position aims to provide effective legal representation for our clients while developing the associate's legal skills and expertise in civil litigation and insurance defense.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings and motions
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant case law and statutes
- Prepare and organize case files and evidence for trial
- Attend court hearings and depositions as needed
- Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather information
- Support senior attorneys during trial preparation and strategy meetings
- Assist in analyzing insurance coverage and liability issues
- Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Texas, with a valid Texas State Bar membership
- 2 years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, or related fields
- Strong understanding of insurance subrogation, mass tort, and personal injury law
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in case management and legal software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients
