In this Head of CRE Loan Servicing role, you will play a critical role in managing the operations and servicing of commercial real estate loans utilizing our best-in-class tech platform. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the primary loan servicing function, ensuring compliance with loan documents, servicing agreements, investor requirements, and regulatory standards. This role provides leadership to servicing staff, manages complex commercial real estate loan portfolios, and serves as the primary point of escalation for clients, borrowers, lenders, investors, and internal stakeholders. The manager will ensure service quality, operational excellence, and timely resolution of servicing matters. We are looking for strong expertise in commercial real estate loan servicing with a focus on private credit deals. Open to candidates in either our Dallas office or DC Headquarters.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a team responsible for loan servicing clients ensuring they are effectively leveraging RI's Servicing platform to meet the client's needs.
- Strategize with Senior Leadership on process improvements, growth opportunities and new system features.
- Partner with internal Sales/Business Development team to grow client base.
- Serve as senior point of contact for borrowers, lenders, investors, rating agencies, and third-party service providers.
- Resolve escalated servicing issues and complex inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
- Communicate clearly regarding loan requirements, performance concerns, collateral issues, and transaction processes.
- Lead initiatives to improve servicing processes, technology, and quality control.
- Coordinate system updates, data audits, and regulatory changes impacting servicing.
- Support strategic planning and growth initiatives within the servicing department.
Loan Servicing Team Responsibilities:
- Review and approve loan terms of newly onboarded CRE loans into RealINSIGHT.
- Review and approve monthly billing statements for accuracy and
- Approve cash management statements and ensure timely completion of related tasks.
- Approve disbursement requests, including loan advances and payment
- Approve distribution processing, ensuring accurate allocation of funds to stakeholders.
- Ensure bank accounts are reconciled and any discrepancies are resolved in a timely
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial reporting and support audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities
- 7-10 years of commercial mortgage loan servicing experience (cashiering primary servicing strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan documents, escrow administration, compliance obligations, and investor guidelines.
- Tech forward mentality and focus on creating efficiencies through leveraging technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks and
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to manage a team is preferred.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with loan servicing software and financial systems is a plus.
The base salary range for this role is provided in accordance with local regulations, but salary represents just one component of the total compensation package. Additional elements such as bonuses, overtime, deferred cash (where applicable), benefits, perks, and company contributions to 401(k) plans-often result in total compensation significantly exceeding the base salary. Compensation is influenced by individual performance, tenure, experience, geographic location, business unit needs, company performance, and market conditions.
