CV Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for one of our clients in Santa Ana for a contract position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting month-end close processes, heavy reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate accounting records. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Maintain and review general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Support audits and assist with preparation of schedules and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Experience preparing financial statements and reports.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
