Director of Reporting
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
CV Resources is partnering with a publicly traded company in Seattle to identify a Director of Reporting. This is a key leadership role within the finance organization, overseeing external reporting, technical accounting, and regulatory compliance across a global business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end process for public company filings, including annual and quarterly reports and other required disclosures
- Coordinate with senior leadership to support the quarterly disclosure cycle, ensuring accurate and timely communication of financial performance and risks
- Work closely with Investor Relations to help shape earnings deliverables and external financial messaging
- Act as the internal expert on accounting standards and regulatory requirements, advising on proper treatment of complex transactions
- Research, document, and conclude on technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition, business combinations, financing arrangements, and other significant events
- Stay current on evolving accounting guidance and lead implementation efforts across the organization
- Establish and maintain standardized accounting policies to drive consistency across domestic and international teams
- Partner with audit functions to support compliance with internal control requirements and address any identified gaps
- Collaborate across finance and business functions to ensure alignment on reporting and accounting practices
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency through systems or process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or auditing roles
- Hands-on experience with SEC reporting for a publicly traded company
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred) or similar technical environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and effectively on technical accounting topics
- Experience working with ERP platforms and financial reporting systems
- Ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders across multiple functions
- Experience supporting global operations or working in a multinational setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
- Involvement in transactions such as acquisitions, integrations, or restructurings
- Experience operating in a changing or high-growth environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $140,000 – $170,000, depending on experience
- Bonus and potential equity participation
