About the Role
CV Resources is partnering with a growing organization in the Caldwell area to identify a Cost Accounting Specialist. This role will support the accounting and operations teams by analyzing costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping drive better business decisions through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze product, labor, and operational costs to identify trends and variances
- Assist with standard costing, budgeting, and cost forecasting
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
- Track inventory costs and assist with inventory reporting
- Prepare cost analysis reports for leadership
- Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and processes
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of accounting or cost accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-finance teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or production environments
- Exposure to inventory accounting or standard costing
