CV Resources has partnered with a large Law Firm on the search for a Billing Specialist. The Billing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of client invoices in accordance with client billing guidelines, attorney instructions, and firm policies. This position works closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and other team members to support the firm’s revenue operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process prebills in line with established procedures and deadlines.
- Interpret and apply billing instructions accurately; seek clarification when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, fee agreements, and firm policies.
- Deliver invoices promptly, including electronic billing (ebilling) submissions.
- Maintain billing instructions and related details within the accounting system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve billing discrepancies using available resources.
- Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and others to provide client-focused service.
- Respond to inquiries regarding billing history, payment details, and basic financial information.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of firm and client information.
- Participate in training and development to enhance billing expertise.
- Mentor and train junior billing staff as directed by management.
- Contribute to process improvements and special projects supporting revenue operations.
- Handle complex billing scenarios and assist management in establishing proper protocols.

- Extensive experience managing complex billing requirements.

- Ability to learn new software and web-based applications quickly.

Education & Experience
- Minimum of five years of legal billing experience, including ebilling.
- College coursework in accounting or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Expertise in electronic billing and vendor compliance required.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
