Custom Steel Manufacturing is growing—and we’re adding experienced Press Brake Operators who take pride in precision bends, clean fit-ups, and parts that pass QC the first time. You’ll run large, manual-setup press brakes (not CNC), work to tight tolerances, and help us deliver customer-ready parts from heavy steel.

What you’ll do
- Show up ready—on time, prepared, focused on doing the job right
- Set up and operate manual-setup press brakes (not CNC) to produce parts to spec
- Select tooling (dies/punches), set backgauges, and verify tonnage/clearance
- Read and follow drawings/blueprints; confirm bend radii, angles, and tolerances
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections; adjust to hold accuracy and consistency
- Track job time, piece counts, and scrap accurately
- Keep it orderly—basic machine care, housekeeping, and proper PPE use
- Hit daily goals—work independently and with the team
What you bring
- 3 years press brake experience (heavy steel preferred)
- Strong print reading and measurement (tape, calipers, protractors/squares)
- Ability to select tooling and calculate/verify bend allowances/springback
- Reliable, punctual, safety-minded; constructive communicator
- Attention to detail and pride in consistent, high-quality work
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic shop math; high school diploma/GED preferred
Pay, schedule & location
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 /hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm (overtime as needed)
- Location: Belton, Missouri (in-person role)
