Social Media Marketing Manager

Custom Cones USA is the leading supplier of pre-roll cones, tubes, packaging, and pre-roll machinery to the cannabis industry. DaySavers, Smoke Temple, and Fill-a-Blunts are our fast-growing consumer brands for smoking accessories, sold through our website and retail partners, with a lot of exciting growth ahead of them. Both brands share one in-house marketing team here in Renton.

We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to own social media strategy and execution for our consumer brands, with light support for our B2B brand. This is not a "post and see what happens" role. Every piece of content should tie back to a defined strategy — what we're posting, when we're posting it, and why — and every campaign needs to be measured so we know whether it worked and what to do differently next time.

This is a hands-on role. You will be setting the strategy, creating a lot of the content yourself, and building the influencer relationships that extend our reach. You will report to our Marketing Director and work closely with our Senior Copywriter, Creative Director, and Senior Graphic Designer.

What you will be doing

Social media strategy

• Build and maintain a documented content strategy for each channel: what we post, when, and why, tied to a clear goal (awareness, engagement, or sales).
• Own the content calendar across channels, coordinating with the Content and Design team on brand and campaign content, and filling in the gaps yourself between campaigns.
• Test, measure, and refine continuously. Kill what isn't working and put more behind what is.

Channel ownership

• Own day-to-day strategy, posting, and community management for TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube (B2B).
• Evaluate emerging platforms and recommend where we should expand, with a clear case for why.
• Optimize each channel to grow brand awareness and drive measurable sales impact.

Content creation

• Partner with the Content and Design team on brand campaigns and larger content initiatives.
• Create content independently, including filming and light editing, to keep channels consistently active between campaigns.
• Direct and collaborate with team members, influencers, and creators to produce on-brand content.
• Influencer and community management
• Identify, vet, and manage relationships with influencers and creators aligned with our brands to extend content reach.
• Negotiate scope and deliverables, track performance and spend, and report on influencer ROI.
• Manage community engagement across channels, including comments, messages, and UGC.

Reporting and optimization

• Deliver a weekly performance report covering key channel and campaign metrics.
• Use performance data to adjust content mix, cadence, and channel investment.
• Bring recommendations, not just results: what changed, why, and what we're doing about it.

How we measure success

• You will receive written expectations within your first two weeks and a formal review against them at 90 days. Expect these to be on the list:
• A documented social strategy in place for each owned channel.
• Weekly performance report delivered on schedule.
• Original content published on schedule across owned channels.
• Influencer collaborations executed against a monthly target.
• Follower growth, engagement rate, and channel-attributed sales impact.

Requirements and qualifications

• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, ideally managing multiple channels or brands.
• A track record of building and executing a documented social strategy, not just a posting calendar.
• Experience managing influencer relationships, including sourcing, negotiating, and evaluating ROI.
• Strong content creation skills, including filming and basic editing. Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut.
• Comfortable using analytics and reporting tools to track performance and inform decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in the cannabis and smoking accessories industry and can represent it authentically.

Pay and benefits

• Salary range: $85,000-110,000 DOE
