We're looking for a bold, creative, hands-on Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of social strategies that strengthen our employer brand, elevate resident and family experiences, and showcase the extraordinary relationships that define life at Aegis. This person is equally comfortable planning a content calendar and shooting content on-site the same afternoon — a genuine storyteller who's fluent across social, content creation, and analytics, and comfortable executing, not just directing.

Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Brand Growth

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business priorities — resident acquisition, employer branding, recruiting, and community engagement.
• Manage and optimize the Aegis Living presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and relevant emerging platforms.
• Build annual, quarterly, and monthly content plans that support campaigns, company initiatives, and community storytelling.
• Monitor platform developments, audience trends, and best practices to continually improve visibility and performance.

Storytelling & Content Creation

• Lead the creation of compelling multimedia content — video, photography, graphics, carousels, stories, and written posts.
• Identify and capture inspiring resident, family, and team member stories that reflect the culture and mission of Aegis Living.
• Coordinate content production across communities, including interviews, story collection, photography sessions, and video shoots, always protecting resident dignity and following privacy and consent requirements.
• Partner with internal teams to celebrate community life, employee achievements, resident experiences, and special events.

Community Engagement & Employer Branding

• Manage day-to-day publishing, audience engagement, and channel interactions — responding thoughtfully to comments, messages, and reviews while maintaining brand standards.
• Foster meaningful online conversation with residents, families, prospective team members, and referral partners; monitor brand sentiment and elevate issues appropriately.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to create content that showcases the team member experience and supports recruiting campaigns.

Analytics & Performance

• Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, engagement, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
• Manage paid social campaigns and budgets, and build reporting that connects social performance with business outcomes.
• Use insights to refine strategy, content mix, publishing cadence, and audience targeting.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of progressive experience in social media marketing, digital content creation, or brand communications; senior living or multi-location business experience strongly preferred.
• Proven success managing multiple social channels and executing integrated content strategies, including paid and organic.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, content creation, video production, photography, and social campaign execution.
• Proficiency with content creation and scheduling tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar, plus social analytics platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to write in a warm, engaging, and authentic voice; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Background in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or mission-driven organizations.
• Experience building employer brands and supporting recruitment marketing; professional photography and videography experience.

Knowledge of content accessibility standards and inclusive marketing practices
