Data Engineer (SQL Server / Azure)
We're looking for a Data Engineer to support day-to-day data workflows, reporting, and ongoing cloud modernization efforts. This role is a great fit for someone with a solid foundation in SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS who wants to grow their skills in Azure-based data platforms while working alongside experienced engineers.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and enhance SQL Server workflows, including stored procedures and existing SSIS/SSRS solutions
- Support senior engineers with data integration, data quality validation, and foundational data modeling
- Assist with migrating on-prem data workloads into Azure technologies such as ADLS and Synapse
- Help automate recurring data and reporting processes using UiPath or similar tools (training provided)
- Collaborate with backend developers on data integrations using C#, .NET, and ADO.NET
- Work with frontend developers and analysts to prepare datasets for dashboards and reporting needs
- Contribute to documentation, quality checks, and continuous improvement of data pipelines
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, basic performance tuning)
- Strong experience with SSIS and SSRS
- Solid understanding of ETL concepts and production data workflows
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also acceptable)
- Basic experience with C#, .NET, or ADO.NET in data-related scenarios
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support reporting or visualization needs
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT
- Experience with UiPath or similar automation tools
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Power BI
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata, or data quality practices
- Interest in growing toward cloud-Financial architecture and orchestration
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Comfortable supporting teammates while building deeper technical expertise
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical partners
