Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor/Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are prepared and organized according to the delivery route efficiently, maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction. This position requires excellent communication and math skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making it ideal for individuals with a background in warehouse, restaurants, or hotels.
Duties
- Coordinate with bakery staff to ensure timely preparation of bread orders.
- Communicate effectively with managers and delivery drivers to facilitate smooth service flow.
- Review customer's orders and prepare orders for shipping.
- Assist in loading trucks with product.
- Maintain your work area organized and clean.
- Ensure that all trucks leave with all the products they require.
- Shift starts at 4:00 PM and ends at 2:00 AM.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in performing shipping and receiving in a warehouse.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of bread is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
