Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Night Shipping Supervisor to oversee nightly shipping operations and lead a team of approximately 20 employees. This position is responsible for ensuring shipping assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time while coordinating closely with Shipping, Production, Freezer, and Independent Drivers.

The ideal candidate is an organized leader who can effectively manage employees, resolve shipping issues, and maintain a high level of accountability throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of approximately 20 shipping employees.
• Print and distribute nightly shipping assignment paperwork.
• Assign employees to their designated shipping responsibilities and ensure assignments are clearly understood.
• Train and coach employees on proper shipping procedures, assignments, and expectations.
• Monitor employee performance and ensure all shipping assignments are completed accurately and on time.
• Work directly with independent drivers to resolve shortages, and product issues.
• Coordinate with the Production Department regarding product availability and communicate any shortages or delays.
• Coordinate with the Freezer Department to ensure product is properly staged and available for shipping.
• Place and coordinate late orders as needed to ensure customer and route requirements are met.
• Double-check products that have previously resulted in customer complaints, shortages, or delivery issues to help prevent repeat occurrences.
• Identify shipping problems during the night and take immediate corrective action.
• Ensure the shipping area remains organized, efficient, and prepared for the next day's operations.
• Hold employees accountable for following company procedures, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy.
• Report significant shipping issues, employee concerns, and operational problems to the Shipping Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with drivers and coordinating transportation is preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to consistently work the required overnight schedule.

Tuesday: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Thursday: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Friday: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Reports directly to: Shipping Manager
