We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Lansing, NY team.
As our Mechanical Tech, you will assist the engineers in day-to-day operations. Performs routine tasks, including operating and maintaining equipment, as well as conducting analysis and experimental procedures.
This is a great position for an individual with manual dexterity willing to train and learn more about metals testing.
Location: Lansing, NY
Hourly rate: $20-$24/hour

Your Challenge
- Determines the sequence of operations and performs layout, fabrication, assembly, installation and testing of experimental components, materials, apparatus and equipment.
- Sets up and operates equipment, test apparatus, test equipment, diagnostic devices and related equipment.
- Designs hardware components according to guidelines for prototype or one of kind items.
- Analyzes design deficiencies or malfunctions where immediate determinations regarding causes and needed corrections are required.
- Prepare progress reports, evaluations and recommendations regarding projects and products

- Comfortable operating computer powered equipment
- Manual dexterity
- Able to lift 20 lbs. without assistance
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred
