About the Role
The Production Planner is responsible for building and managing production schedules, coordinating raw material needs, and ensuring finished goods flow smoothly from the plant to distribution points. You’ll work closely with manufacturing teams, purchasing, logistics, and customer support to keep operations synchronized and data accurate. What You’ll Do
- Develop short-term and long-range production schedules for assigned departments.
- Coordinate material requirements, ensuring raw materials and select finished goods are available ahead of production demand.
- Support inventory accuracy by overseeing frequent cycle counts and verifying discrepancies before adjusting system data.
- Track and record daily production output across departments.
- Manage the movement of products between manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.
- Maintain and audit Bills of Materials, identifying and correcting inaccuracies.
- Partner with shipping teams to execute transfers, resolve issues, and update system transactions.
- Coordinate with purchasing to maintain adequate stock levels for production consumables.
- Monitor equipment issues or schedule changes and adjust plans quickly as needed.
- Provide inventory and production support for annual audit activities.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and help integrate new systems or planning tools.
- Prepare forward-looking forecasts, including monthly and annual planning models.
- Present build plans, schedule outlooks, and capacity updates in internal operations meetings.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field — or 4 years of equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of production planning, scheduling, or procurement experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (experience with JDE/P4 or similar highly valued).
- Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to interpret production and inventory data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional interaction.
- Proven ability to work within fast-paced, high-volume operations.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
