Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead site-level HR operations within a fast-paced manufacturing and corporate environment. This role serves as a strategic partner to site leadership, supporting workforce initiatives while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
The HR Manager will oversee day-to-day HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, payroll coordination, and engagement initiatives. This individual will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture while supporting operational and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Serve as the primary HR contact for managers and employees at assigned site(s).
- Provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
- Conduct workplace investigations and escalate complex matters as appropriate.
- Partner with leadership to drive engagement and employee development initiatives.
- Support succession planning and organizational development efforts.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage recruitment efforts for hourly and administrative roles.
- Coordinate interviews, offers, background checks, and onboarding processes.
- Oversee new hire documentation, compliance processes, and HRIS entries.
- Support workforce planning in collaboration with leadership.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation.
- Oversee timekeeping, payroll exception management, and related approvals.
- Support workers’ compensation reporting and collaborate with safety teams as needed.
- Assist with leave administration and benefits enrollment processes.
Compensation & Benefits Support
- Partner with corporate HR and compensation teams on pay decisions and approvals.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Support open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration efforts.
Culture & Organizational Development
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and engagement initiatives.
- Act as a change agent during organizational transitions.
- Support training and leadership development programs.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or blended operations environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and talent acquisition practices
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP or similar platforms preferred)
- Experience managing payroll/timekeeping processes
- Strong conflict resolution and investigative skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
