Role Description
This is a full-time Assistant Controller role, operating on an on-site schedule in Dallas, Texas with flexibility for some remote work. The Assistant Controller will oversee financial reporting, support month-end and year-end closing processes, monitor and enforce internal controls, and collaborate with external auditors. The role also involves overseeing AP, AR and interfacing with operations to maintain data quality. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience with internal controls, audits, and risk management
- Advanced skills in accounting software and spreadsheet tools
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred)
- Prior experience in construction or service-based industries is a plus
