Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the shipping, receiving and material storage management activities for the organization. Actively promote, develop, drive and participate in process improvement initiatives both inside and outside primary areas of responsibility to support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery in a cost-efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading Warehouse department efforts to perform responsibilities with zero shipping errors, 100% on time delivery and same day Raw Materials dock to stock through efficient/effective utilization of labor.
- Manage/support the purchasing function for the Camden facility.
- Manage production scheduling to meet production deadlines.
- Lead and train warehouse and production material handlers to ensure daily operational success and alignment with company goals.
- Coordinate shipments with customers as determined and complete/provide necessary paperwork.
- Ensure that all raw material and/or finished goods are accurately received, properly identified with a CPI Item number/barcode label, safely moved and delivered to or stored in a proper location utilizing first in-first out storage and shipment objective.
- Load/unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct or participate in cycle counts, supports efforts to maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
- Responsible for physical condition, organization and accuracy of all Raw Materials and Finished Goods inventories. Resource for Work in Process.
- Establish operational procedures including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments (including UPS and Fedex), handling and disposition of materials, warehouse inventory, NAFTA and other export related compliance.
- Control of all non-conforming material, including vendor and customer RMA’s for warehouse department.
- Responsible for the management of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring that all chemical hazards are identified, documented, and communicated in strict accordance with global and federal regulatory standards.
- Active participant in cross functional team, committee or special project with the objective of personal development or mentoring other employees in an area of expertise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; establish and promote daily housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it more efficient, safety and an enjoyable place to work.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience required; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.

- 5s/Lean Manufacturing
- Production Scheduling
- Purchasing Experience
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.
- The noise level in our work environment is moderate.
- This positions primary work is conducted in the warehouse/loading dock area and may be subject to seasonally cold and hot working conditions.
- Safety glasses, hearing protection and closed-toe shoes must be worn on the production floor.
