Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety compliance
- Operate access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity in real-time and review footage as needed
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms following established procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of security clearance processes
- Assist in emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety measures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is preferred
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is highly desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, manual handling techniques, and fire safety protocols
- Strong skills in conflict de-escalation and conflict management to handle tense situations effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and conduct physical security tasks such as patrolling and manual handling
- Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations
