Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and disciplined Armed Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrols, access control, surveillance, and emergency response. Your expertise in law enforcement procedures, conflict management, and security protocols will ensure the safety of all individuals on site. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security checks to identify potential threats or irregularities.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by implementing established procedures, including fire safety protocols and first aid measures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for review and follow-up.
• Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of security clearance processes.
• Operate specialized equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR when necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to ensure proper resolution and compliance with regulations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and manual handling procedures.
• Experience in military or law enforcement environments is highly advantageous.
• Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills to handle tense situations professionally.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical security tasks while maintaining safety standards.
• Proficiency in emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks for personnel screening.
• Exceptional customer service skills to interact courteously with staff, visitors, and clients while maintaining security integrity.
• Knowledge of security regulations compliance and incident report writing standards to ensure thorough documentation.
