Position Overview

AM 790 KABC is seeking a full-time Board Operator & Production Assistant in Culver City, California. This full-time position will report directly to KABC’s Program Director and be responsible for running the console in a radio station control room broadcasting a variety of live or pre-recorded local and syndicated entertainment programs plus handle production needs for the Station.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Daily Commercial Production: create killer endorsement commercials – both on air and online – for mutually agreed upon products
• Recording sessions with clients
• Participate in station Programming, Promotions and Sales meetings as needed
• Run the console in a radio station control room broadcasting a variety of live or pre-recorded local and syndicated entertainment programs
• Play all commercials as scheduled and maintaining a commercial and transmitter log
• Monitor for EAS Alerts, Ambers Alerts and breaking news
• Monitor the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room
  
  

Qualifications

• Some college radio or small market radio experience preferred
• Previous board operation experience preferred
• Audio production skills required
• Familiar with FCC rules and regulations and EAS guidelines
• Proficient using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, OpX, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Soundgorge,
• Nuendo, Adobe Audition or other audio editing and automation programs
• Familiar with audio mixers preferred
• Flexibility in scheduling required; majority of the hours are in the evenings, weekends and holidays
  
  

Pay Range

USD $40,000.00 - USD $44,000.00 /Yr.
