The Residential Services Supervisor is responsible for the overall management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance of multiple group homes. This position ensures that services are delivered in alignment with person-centered principles, state and CARF standards, and agency policies. The Supervisor provides direct oversight to Residential Monitors, ensures staff training and performance excellence, monitors resident outcomes, and maintains the integrity of all program documentation and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and service delivery for assigned group homes serving adults with IDD.
- Supervise, schedule, and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Residential Monitors to ensure consistent quality of care and compliance with individual support plans (ISPs).
- Conduct regular home visits and inspections to ensure health, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to agency and state requirements.
- Ensure all services are documented accurately and in a timely manner, including progress notes, incident reports, and data tracking.
- Collaborate with Qualified Professionals (QPs) to monitor residents’ progress and implement interventions or changes as needed.
- Provide staff coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Facilitate staff meetings, training refreshers, and team development activities.
- Ensure compliance with all licensure, Medicaid, and CARF standards, maintaining readiness for inspections or audits.
- Coordinate new admissions, discharges, and transitions to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate effectively with families, guardians, community partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergencies or staffing coverage.
- Promote the organization's mission, values, and person-centered culture through leadership and example.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in residential or community-based IDD services required.
- Knowledge of NC Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) and CARF standards strongly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong documentation and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Therap or similar data systems).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties that may require standing, walking, or physical assistance.
- Valid NC driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and provide current CPR/First Aid certifications (or complete within 90 days).
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Must be flexible to respond to emergencies, staffing needs, or after-hours situations as necessary.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
