We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our residential services team. DSPs provide essential daily supports to adults with IDD in a group home setting — promoting independence, ensuring health and safety, and enhancing quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals, etc.).
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and developing independent living skills.
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with training and policy.
- Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and employment programs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
- Complete required documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and attendance logs.
- Follow individual support plans and behavior strategies as directed by the Qualified Professional (QP).
- Promote dignity, respect, and inclusion for all residents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with IDD or related field preferred.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required training certifications.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
- Full-time position; shifts vary and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have flexibility for occasional overtime or coverage needs.
