What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Coordinator position at Cumberland Counseling, LLC?
We are hiring for a full-time administrative coordinator position. The main responsibility will be to provide the highest-quality customer service to our clients and staff. We are seeking a well-rounded, friendly individual, who will be understanding of our clients needs, as we strive for a stress-free environment. We will provide all relevant training required.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate new patient intakes through various referral systems
- Handle reception duties such as patient check-ins and outs
- Verify demographics and insurance verification prior to appointments, ensuring an updated copy of the insurance card is on file for every patient
- Collect patient balances, copays, and credit cards at time of service and reconcile daily payments received
- Process insurance claims and billing
- Resolve insurance claim denials
- Operate a multiline telephone system
- Follow HIPAA compliance standards under Federal regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of prior experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant or similar position.
- Familiarity with using EMR platforms, training will be provided for our site specific EMR.
- Any combination of education and experience that is substantially equivalent is also acceptable.
Hourly Wage: $18-$22 (varies by experience)
Working Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
**We currently have two offices within the state. This position will be primarily for the East Providence location, but on occasion, it may be necessary to cover in our Cumberland location.
