Culmen International is hiring a Director of Human Resources in Alexandria, VA.
- Responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Human Resources department. Partner with leadership to initiate, implement, and maintain programs and policies related to talent management, compensation/payroll, employment processing, health and welfare benefits, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, HRIS (records management), workforce planning, metrics, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, labor relations and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the implementation of HR programs, policies, procedures and practices that focus on attracting, retaining and developing the employee base. This leadership role carries with it personal and corporate responsibility to build and sustain a respectful workplace by communicating and enforcing organization values.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; managing affirmative action program, advising management on needed actions.
- Support the long-range vision towards digitalization; maximize HR systems and technology that align with the growth of the organization and delivery models.
- Foster and manage strategic partnerships with HR vendors and consultants who provide HR services and expertise.
- Develop and manage an annual budget for the department and manage expenses within established guidelines
- All other duties assigned
- Government contracting experience in an HR leadership role strongly preferred.
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related
- Ability to obtain a clearance; this will require US Citizenship
