Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an experienced Staff Engineer – Process Engineering to support manufacturing operations in Chicago, IL, with a primary focus on powder paint/powder coating and electroplating processes.
Compensation: up to $154,413 annual base salary annual incentive plan benefits
Position Overview
This role will provide hands-on process engineering support for manufacturing lines, troubleshoot production issues, improve finishing processes, and lead capital equipment improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and improve powder coating and electroplating processes
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Lead capital equipment and manufacturing-line improvement projects
• Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
• Develop P&IDs, specifications, layouts, and engineering documentation
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 10 years of progressive engineering experience
• Direct hands-on powder coating and electroplating experience
• Strong manufacturing process troubleshooting experience
• Experience with $1M capital projects
• Equipment installation, startup, and commissioning experience
• Knowledge of process controls, automation, P&IDs, and equipment layouts
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL
