Job Title: Shipping Associate II
Location: Batesville, IN, 47006
Duration: 12 months contract- Possible to extend
Shift Details:M-F 7AM-3:30PM
Pay Range : $18/h-$19/hr.
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments for Baxter customer orders while ensuring compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations. The role includes preparing export/customs documentation, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders, tracking shipments, processing orders, and resolving shipping issues to ensure timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Pick, pack, and ship international customer orders.
Prepare and verify commercial invoices, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and export documentation.
Coordinate international shipments via air, ocean, and ground freight with carriers and freight forwarders.
Manage orders from entry through shipment notification and provide tracking information to customers.
Review and follow customer-specific shipping instructions.
Ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign import/export regulations, EAR, ECCN, and DOT requirements.
Create and modify customer invoices using Adobe Acrobat/Kofax.
Monitor shipments, troubleshoot carrier delays/issues, and escalate unresolved problems.
Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in international shipping, export/import, logistics, or supply chain.
Knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, customs requirements, and export regulations.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, JD Edwards, Adobe Acrobat/Kofax, FedEx Ship Manager, and UPS WorldShip.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to understand legal terms, shipping instructions, and regulatory requirements.
Willingness to stay current with U.S. export regulations.
Preferred: Certified Export Specialist (CES) and/or IATA Dangerous Goods training
