Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician II (Process Technician II) to join Product Engineering Support team in Fargo, ND. In this role, you will spend approximately 75% of your time on the active manufacturing floor responding to technical requests, troubleshooting machine malfunctions, and performing hands-on electromechanical repairs. This position includes two months of comprehensive, paid technical training at the Main Plant before transitioning to the PES facility. This is a long-term, 24-month contract opportunity ideal for an autonomous self-starter with a background in electronics testing and assembly support.
Required Skills:
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs complex mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
- Practical hands-on experience performing intermediate-level component soldering and field-level rework.
- Competent in operating standard lab diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, to conduct circuit testing and failure analysis.
- Experience working with or maintaining small robotics, automated soldering stations, or material dispensary equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to research, tabulate, and summarize failure data using basic computer tracking applications.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-year Technical Associate Degree in Electronics, a technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent verified industry experience.
- 3 years of professional experience across electronics, manufacturing, or engineering environments is highly preferred.
- Safety Compliance: Must provide and wear your own metatarsal safety shoes starting on Day 1.
- Physical capability to stand/walk for roughly 75% of an 8-hour shift in an active factory environment.
- Experience testing or troubleshooting specialized automated production equipment, or familiarity with industry Product Verification & Validation (V&V) execution methodologies is a Plus.
