We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Machine Operators/Machine Assistants to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves assisting machine operators, handling materials, loading and unloading trailers, maintaining production flow, and performing housekeeping duties. Candidates must have prior experience in machine operation, machine assistance, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Candidates must be willing to work assigned day or night shifts
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
Key Responsibilities
- Assist machine operators with production activities and material handling.
- Move, position, and load materials onto production lines manually or using approved equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and staging areas.
- Support machine changeovers, grade changes, and production adjustments.
- Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and occasional deep-cleaning tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and operating guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and minimize downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Machine Assistant, Production Operator, Manufacturing Associate, or similar role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate or learn forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior forklift certification or forklift operating experience.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers and production materials.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience assisting with machine setups or changeovers.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions.
