Job Title: Cell Therapy Manufacturing Specialist
Location: Frederick, MD
Duration: 06 Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)
Shift: Rotating 4/10 schedule (Day & Swing shifts)
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day Shift)
3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Swing Shift)
5:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Swing Shift)
Rotations may include Sun–Wed, Wed–Sat, or Thurs–Sun based on business needs.
Pay Range: $30/hr to $32/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Cell Therapy Manufacturing Specialist to join a commercial cell therapy manufacturing facility. This role supports GMP production of advanced cell therapy products used in life-changing treatments.
The role involves performing manufacturing operations in a cleanroom environment, following SOPs and batch records to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality production. The Specialist will work closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Materials teams in a regulated GMP setting.
Training Requirement
First 8–10 weeks: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (orientation & technical training)
After training: Transition to assigned shift
Holidays: Follow company holiday schedule during training
Post-training: Role becomes essential, requiring work during holidays/shutdowns if scheduled
Key Responsibilities
Execute GMP manufacturing operations following batch records and SOPs
Operate and maintain cell processing and expansion equipment in cleanroom environments (Grade B/C)
Ensure accurate GMP documentation and compliance at all times
Troubleshoot process/equipment issues and escalate as needed
Support deviations, investigations, and change controls
Assist with cleaning, preparation, and monitoring of manufacturing equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production efficiency and quality
Required Qualifications
One of the following:
Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or related field
OR Associate’s in Life Sciences 1 year biotech experience
OR High School Diploma 2 years cGMP manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in biotech, pharma, or cell therapy manufacturing
Knowledge of GMP environments, aseptic techniques, and cleanroom operations
Familiarity with batch records, SOPs, deviations, and CAPA systems
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work in shift-based, regulated production environments
