• Duration: 12 month Contract
• Pay Rate: $30/hour (W2)

Position Overview

• We are seeking an entry-level Software Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of industrial automation products. In this role, you will work with an international engineering team to execute functional tests, validate software and firmware, identify defects, and help ensure high-quality product releases.
• This position is onsite during the initial training period. Based on performance and business needs, some remote work may be available after successful onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional testing of industrial automation products.
• Develop and execute software and firmware test cases.
• Analyze product requirements and verify software functionality.
• Evaluate the testability of software requirements.
• Identify software defects, technical issues, and design concerns.
• Document test results and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, technical writers, project managers, and support teams.
• Participate in product validation throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of C# programming.
• Understanding of software and firmware testing.
• Knowledge of embedded runtime environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Industrial Automation systems.
• Knowledge of Motion Control systems.
• Experience with Industrial I/O.
• Exposure to embedded software or firmware development/testing.
• Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies.
