Job Summary
We are seeking a DRAM Firmware / Integration Engineer to develop, validate, and integrate DRAM solutions for SSD firmware platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with DDR memory technologies, firmware development, hardware integration, and system-level validation. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure reliable DRAM performance and successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and integrate DRAM drivers for SSD firmware platforms.
- Configure, develop, and validate DRAM read/write training, gate training, and write leveling.
- Develop expertise in DRAM PHY IP and implement required configurations.
- Configure and validate DRAM ECC functionality.
- Work with DDR4 and DDR5 protocols, including mode register configuration and validation.
- Develop and validate DDR4/DDR5 initialization sequences.
- Implement and validate DRAM power management states and refresh policies.
- Create test procedures, validation methodologies, and debugging tools for DRAM verification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve DRAM-related hardware and firmware issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and external partners.
- Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
- Document technical requirements, validation results, and project schedules.
- Lead and support debugging efforts to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in DRAM firmware, memory integration, or related embedded systems development.
- Strong understanding of DRAM architecture, operation, and system integration.
- Experience with DDR4 and/or DDR5 memory technologies.
- Proficiency with memory validation, testing tools, and debugging methodologies.
- Knowledge of signal integrity concepts, high-speed signaling, and simulation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other hardware debugging tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DRAM PHY configuration and validation.
- Knowledge of DRAM ECC implementation and debugging.
- Background in SSD firmware development or storage technologies.
- Experience leading hardware or firmware projects from development through validation.
- Strong project coordination and technical leadership skills.
