- Understand the flow of expense data from source to financial statements
- Apply basic GAAP concepts to real transactions
- Perform variance and trend analysis
- Improve Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Communicate financial insights clearly and professionally
Project Tasks & Timeline:
First month: Identify the problem on customer accounts, assist with the execution of accounts receivable transactions, clean up data and the variances.
- Review:
- Research short pays invoices on a regular basis
- Review any dispute: price and quantity shipped
- Clean data (duplicates, missing descriptions, misclassifications)
Deliverable: Cleaned customer accounts and understand how AR process.
Second month: Sale Tax Project
- Review:
- Validate and consolidate to get missing tax area in JDE
- Setup tax area
Deliverable: Complete tax area setup in system and understand how tax code applies to sale orders and customer accounts.
Addition Task (Optional)
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
- Set up new customer accounts
- Gather audit support for external and internal auditors
Essential Skills, Education & Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize files and boxes (up to ~25 lbs)
- Ability to stand, bend, and move during organization projects
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
