Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support our Finance team across Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Accounting functions. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial operations, vendor management, invoice processing, and reconciliation activities within a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Assist with tracking and coordinating deposit invoices
- Apply unposted deposits accurately and timely
- Communicate with customers to redirect deposits to updated bank accounts
- Support maintenance of accurate customer account records
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Assist with voucher processing using 3-way matching (purchase orders, receipts, invoices)
- Maintain and update vendor records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support validation of outstanding disbursements against bank records
- Help ensure timely and accurate payment processing
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with various accounting projects and ad hoc financial tasks
- Support reconciliation and documentation of financial transactions
- Gain exposure to cross-functional accounting processes and reporting
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (preferred)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
