Transportation Manager
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and train all drivers.
- Interact with the full-service leasing company to ensure proper maintenance of all vehicles (all vehicles are automatic).
- Manage payroll, truck leasing and fuel budgets.
- Manage work performance and results of all drivers.
- Set effective schedules to operate within budget.
- Prioritize work effectively.
- Set high expectations and goals.
- Take responsibility for achieving performance results.
- Follow through to completion of work projects.
- Assure employees follow Company policies and procedures.
- Manage and coordinate all company safety procedures.
- Build effective customer relationships and resolves issues in timely ways.
Experience:
- Must have a CDL License (A or B) and prior driving experience.
- 5 years of successful transportation management experience with proven results.
- Full understanding of DOT rules, regulations and requirements.
- Must have experience working with commercial drivers and regulations.
- Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting.
- Independent thinker and decision maker that requires minimal supervision.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel and basic PC skills.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
Salary : $100,000 - $105,000
