Production Subsurface Operator

At Crystal D, we do more than create beautiful crystal awards and gifts. We help turn emotions into memories! Every piece we produce celebrates an achievement, recognizes a milestone, or honors someone special.

We're looking for a Subsurface Laser Operator to join our Production team! If you're detail-oriented, enjoy working with your hands, take pride in producing high-quality work, and thrive in a team environment, we'd love to meet you!

As a Subsurface Laser Operator, you'll play an important role in creating the high-quality crystal awards our customers know and love. You'll operate specialized laser equipment, ensure product accuracy, and work alongside fellow Memory Makers to keep production running smoothly.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Set up and operate subsurface laser equipment to create high-quality crystal awards and gifts.

• Learn and utilize Vitro software to operate laser machinery.

• Read and follow production work orders and instructions to ensure customer specifications are met.

• Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency.

• Handle crystal products carefully to prevent damage.

• Monitor production schedules and complete orders accurately and on time.

• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine preventative maintenance.

• Maintain accurate production records and update order statuses.

• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe using 5S and lean manufacturing practices.

• Cross-train in other production areas and lend a hand wherever needed.

• Share ideas and work with your team to continuously improve quality, efficiency, and processes.

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a positive attitude, and takes pride in the details.

Qualifications and skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Basic math and measurement skills.

• Comfortable learning new equipment, technology, and software.

• Ability to follow written instructions and production procedures.

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to troubleshoot equipment.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to help teammates succeed.

• Ability to perform physical production tasks, including standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, and handling materials.

Previous laser operating or manufacturing experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn and a great attitude are just as important!

At Crystal D, our core values guide everything we do:

• Integrity: We do what we say we'll do.

• Quality: We continuously strive to improve.

• Respect: We treat others the way we want to be treated.

• Commitment: We're dedicated to the long-term success of our company.

• Passion: We bring energy and pride to the work we do.

We value team members who are dependable, eager to learn, willing to pitch in, and excited to make a difference.

We believe our Memory Makers are what make Crystal D special! We offer a supportive, team-focused environment where your contributions matter and your hard work is appreciated.

Our benefits include:

• Medical and dental insurance

• Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)

• Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

• Company-paid basic life insurance and long-term disability coverage

• 401(k) retirement plan with company match

• Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays

• Employee recognition programs and opportunities to earn additional PTO

• Telemedicine and behavioral health resources

• Opportunities for cross-training, professional growth, and development

• A fun, collaborative workplace where we celebrate our Memory Makers!
