Project Manager – Commercial Glazing & Facade Systems

Overview
CRU Workforce is partnered with a well-established architectural metal and glass contractor seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial glazing and façade projects from kickoff through closeout.
This is a role for someone who doesn’t just track projects but owns outcomes, drives coordination, and ensures projects are executed cleanly from shop to field.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will take ownership of active projects and ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and with minimal rework, while coordinating across internal teams, vendors, and job sites.
What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)
- Projects consistently hit schedule milestones without delays
- Materials are ordered and delivered in alignment with install schedules
- RFIs are handled proactively
- Change orders are captured, priced, and approved
- Projects close out cleanly with minimal punch list issues
- Field, shop, and client communication stays clear and aligned throughout
What You’ll Be Doing
Material Ordering & Procurement
- Translate drawings, takeoffs, and submittals into accurate material orders
- Coordinate with vendors for glass, aluminum systems, and hardware
- Track long-lead items and adjust timelines as needed
- Align deliveries with field install sequencing
RFIs
- Identify gaps, conflicts, and constructability issues in drawings
- Generate and manage RFIs with GCs and design teams
- Ensure timely responses to prevent job site delays
- Communicate resolved information clearly to field and shop teams
Change Orders
- Identify scope changes and unforeseen conditions early
- Quantify cost and schedule impact
- Prepare and submit change orders with supporting documentation
- Ensure all out-of-scope work is properly captured and approved
Project Coordination & Execution
- Manage project schedules in alignment with GC timelines
- Coordinate across field crews, fabrication, and internal teams
- Lead project meetings and maintain progress visibility
- Ensure proper sequencing of work across trades
Cost & Project Oversight
- Track labor, material, and overall project costs
- Identify risks early and adjust execution strategy
- Maintain alignment between estimated vs. actual performance
Client & Team Communication
- Act as the main point of contact for GCs and stakeholders
- Provide clear, proactive updates on progress and risks
- Build trust through consistency and follow-through
Project Closeout
- Drive punch list completion with minimal rework
- Coordinate final inspections and documentation
- Deliver closeout packages

We’re looking for someone who has actually owned projects, not just supported them.
Strong candidates typically:
- Have managed commercial construction or glazing-related projects end-to-end
- Have hands-on experience with material ordering, RFIs, and change orders
- Understand how projects flow from shop to field to client
- Are proactive problem-solvers who don’t wait to be told what to do
- Communicate clearly with both field teams and stakeholders
