Reporting to the Recruiting Manager, the Direct Labor Recruiter role is responsible for a variety of direct labor recruitment activities to ensure the organizations’ recruitment process is efficient, effective and equitable. This position will be supporting the recruiting for non-exempt positions such as Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Wiring, Welding, and Warehouse.

Reporting to the Recruiting Manager, the Direct Labor Recruiter role is responsible for a variety of direct labor recruitment activities to ensure the organizations’ recruitment process is efficient, effective and equitable. This position will be supporting the recruiting for non-exempt positions such as Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Wiring, Welding, and Warehouse.
What a typical day looks like:
- Prepare job advertisements, web postings, and job descriptions.
- Screen and shortlist candidates, liaise with agencies, and coordinate interviews.
- Respond to recruitment enquiries while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Contact candidates, arrange interviews, and develop plan for interview questions in collaboration with the hiring team.
- Conduct interviews, check references, and recommend candidates.
- Provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
- Prepare job offer materials.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment venues.
- Ensure compliance with external regulations (OFCCP, EEOC) and internal policies/procedures.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an HR related function
- Minimum 2 years of HR-related work experience (recruiting experience highly preferred)
- Microsoft Office and Workday (or Applicant Tracking System) experience required
- Knowledge of research and sourcing skills – including use of Boolean, LinkedIn, and alternative search methods.
- Know how to identify top performers and determine cultural fit.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects & candidates
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network and collaborate in a team environment.
