Quality Lab Associate

Crown Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Quality Lab Associate to fill an opening with a local Manufacturing company in Kansas City, MO.

Job Description:

• Ensures all necessary items (i.e. probes cleaner, etc.) needed for daily function of CMM is stocked and maintained.
• Maintains all records and is responsible for all check fixture, gauges, and coordinate measuring machine and laboratory equipment calibrations.
• Responsible for all annual part, PPAP and records of such layouts.
• Scheduling and performing all CMM layouts.
• Programming and operating CMM to math data per customer requirements
• Coordinate all laboratory testing per customer specifications
• Responsible for testing and reporting all Design Validation Plan and Report requirements.
• Perform annual laboratory validations per customer requirements
• Ensures GAMO Lab Manual is kept up to date
• Ensures all Quality Lab Functioning Instructions, Control Guidelines Testing Instructions, and Calibration Maintenance Guideline Instructions are created and maintained for accuracy.
• Maintain and enter Lab tests data in Corporate database
• Supervises Quality Auditors for any testing, training, record keeping, and laboratory order and cleanliness in regards to anything to do with the laboratory and testing they are performing
• Ensure all equipment in the plant is calibrated and the user is taking care of the measurement mean as specified by the Quality Lab Tech.
• Ensure all the tube gauges are up to date and ready to use. Good condition and calibrated.
• Perform regular audits about the condition of the measurement means.
• Maintains test record keeping per Plant Quality Manager and company Record Retention Matrix in regards to anything to do with the laboratory and testing they are performing.
• Working knowledge of basic measuring devices—calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and scales.
• Working knowledge of Tinius Olsen Machine.
• Working knowledge of ROMER Arm, being able to SCAN efficiently and create complete reports.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the Laboratory and all equipment in the laboratory area.
• Maintains test record keeping per company Record Retention Matrix in regards to anything to do with the testing they are performing.
• To give directions to Production Personal and Team Leaders about the right processes and procedures to use measurement means.
• To perform flash audits as schedule and help to follow up open actions from those audits.
• To help on monitoring quantities of scrap associated with supplier responsibilities / NCR creation and follow up / Supplier Incident Management
• To help follow up with Non Conformant Material. (Sort and Reworks).
• To provide Evaluation Letters to Suppliers.
• To follow up Chargebacks with cost related activities with suppliers.
