Electrical Maintenance Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience required
- Experience troubleshooting CNC machines, forge presses, or automated manufacturing equipment preferred
- Knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC drives, servo motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical blueprints and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer and documentation skills required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Flexibility to work overtime and varying schedules as needed
About the Electrical Maintenance Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking experienced Electrical Maintenance Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial production equipment to support efficient operations and minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical maintenance experience with the ability to also support mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and machinery
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and replace defective components
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled repairs
- Troubleshoot CNC lathes, forge presses, and automated manufacturing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and parts documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to improve processes
- Support production uptime by minimizing equipment failures and downtime
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards
