What You'll Do

Responsible for managing the equipment maintenance and repair function.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee statewide fleet maintenance program and operations including, but not limited to, equipment inspection, preventative maintenance schedules, damage disposition, and disposal as well as defines specifications for new equipment.
• Provide input and recommendations to leadership for fleet replacement and growth plans.
• Ensure internal continuity and standardization for in-house asset overhauls, upfits and fabrication.
• Manage programs designed to improve equipment utilization and maintenance effectiveness.
• Ensure effective management of parts and equipment inventory.
• Participate in vendor management, as well as the evaluation of contracts and/or lease agreements.
• Develop and monitor departmental productivity metrics and provides analyses and reports.
• Assist with staffing, budgeting and forecasting for CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Supervise employees, including executing performance management and facilitates operational and safety training.
  
  

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience equal to four (4) years.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of related HAZMAT tanker and fleet maintenance experience, with minimum of three (3) years of in a supervisory or management capacity.

Technical Skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word, Enterprise Asset Management Software, Oracle, and Motive.

Other

• Ability to acquire a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) credential is required.
• Subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check to obtain your driving history.

• Knowledge of and the ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Knowledge of and the ability to interpret federal, state, local, and organizational safety regulations, protocols, and procedures as they pertain to chemical, hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental health standards.
  
  

Working Conditions

Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
