This is neither an instructional coaching position nor a traditional teaching role. You will not review lesson plans or observe lectures, because those elements do not exist in our model. Instead, your focus will be on establishing a culture of excellence through Guide coaching, facilitating dynamic life skills workshops, and inspiring students to pursue and achieve ambitious objectives. Your effectiveness will be evaluated by the caliber of student experiences, the performance of your team, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to meet them.

What You Will Be Doing
- Coaching Guides to reliably deliver outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards.
- Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that build communication, leadership, focus, and other practical competencies for K-12 students.
- Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and maximize progress within their self-directed academic programs.
- Leveraging data, direct observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide performance and student results.
- Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by fostering a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.
- Delivering traditional academic instruction or subject-specific lectures.
- Drafting lesson plans or designing curricular content.
- Compromising standards to create a false sense of success rather than guiding students toward genuine mastery.
- Leading a team from a distance without actively coaching students and Guides on the ground.
- Defending outdated methods simply because "that's the way it's always been done."

Basic Requirements
- Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CA
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
- Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and making performance-based termination decisions.
- Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
- Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
- Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative, with willingness to help open a new campus from zero.
- Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Experience coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular programs.
- Exceptional public speaking and storytelling skills.
- A track record of achieving high levels of academic, professional, or athletic performance.
- Experience motivating teams through ambitious goals while maintaining high accountability.
- A passion for challenging conventional education and helping shape a new model for K-12 learning.
