What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Membership, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Most admissions positions are designed to maximize numbers. This one is built to uphold standards.
Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. Our locations combine demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by evidence. Afternoons are dedicated to deeper exploration, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.
This is your mandate.
You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, from initial inquiry to final onboarding. This is not a relay position. You are accountable for the family experience, the clarity with which they grasp the model, and whether their enrollment decision is founded on genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not volume maximization. The objective is mutual fit.
We welcome applicants from high-caliber service sectors outside conventional education: elite private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership clubs, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen sophisticated client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a nuanced, multi-phase process with discernment, transparency, and consistent execution.
If your professional history centers on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality represent the brand, this position will resonate—applied here to work that genuinely transforms lives.
This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus role. We are currently hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.
