Youth Development Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

Crossover
Providence, RI Full Time
POSTED ON 7/26/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/19/2026
  • In-person locations: Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)
  • $200,000 annually, paid weekly | Health, dental, and vision coverage from day one

The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to withhold calling it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they're capable of reaching that mark, and accepting less is the true disservice. If that reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it seems overly strict, this position will likely frustrate you.

Students at Alpha don't sit passively through lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your role ensures three core commitments are fulfilled for every child in your group: they develop a genuine love for school, they accelerate learning by 2x, and they acquire skills traditional curricula don't address. You'll also mentor the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus.

Data informs every choice, and every interaction happens in person. You'll divide your time between directly working with your student cohort and coaching the Guides under your leadership — the expectation remains consistent for both: documented progress without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you won't file paperwork; you'll observe, discuss, and address it that same afternoon.

You'll witness reserved children present with poise to adults. You'll observe students who once "despised school" request extra time. And you'll understand that the high standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their growth, because upholding expectations demonstrates your belief in their potential.

You may be establishing a campus from the ground up and setting the foundational culture that will shape the school's identity. As the campus evolves, your role transitions from operational startup leader to coaching-focused manager, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach across your region.

If this opportunity excites you, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with K-8 students, covering areas such as public speaking and focus, using Alpha's established playbook
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to guide 100% of students toward achieving their weekly app-based goals through age-appropriate incentive structures like school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via observation, specific feedback, and direct coaching so they execute workshops with equivalent energy and accuracy
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student profiles to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then providing personal support
  • Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you expect all Guides to employ

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress via adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people supporting them.
  • Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You're primarily an engager (80%) and secondarily a content expert (20%); if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this isn't the right fit.
  • Lowering standards due to pressure from parents or school leadership. If a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full organizational support to maintain that position.
  • Spending time in an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance updates. Results appear in real-time through Coachbot, and course corrections occur immediately.
