You've never functioned as an information transmission system.

They progress through AI-powered learning applications at individualized paces. AI manages the instructional delivery. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that command the attention of K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward weekly learning targets, and maintain standards when a student attempts to underperform. The academic progression runs itself. You manage the human dimension.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops with K-8 students on topics including public speaking, focus, and giving and receiving feedback
• Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have genuinely mastered the skill, not merely attended
• Conducting daily motivation sessions utilizing student profiles, interests, and Coachbot analytics to achieve 100% cohort completion of weekly app advancement goals
• Employing storytelling, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual connection to overcome student resistance
• Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores to maintain a 90% target on student surveys
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Standing at a whiteboard delivering lectures. Students progress academically via self-directed AI-powered apps, not through direct instruction from you.
• Supervising passively. Students working on computers creates the environment; active engagement defines the work.
• Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass benchmarks remain firm, regardless of whether a student faces a difficult week.
• Creating curriculum from the ground up. Lesson plans and workshop frameworks are supplied; your responsibility is to execute them with the presence and narrative skill that ensures students truly internalize the content.
• Handling parent relations, conducting admissions, or supervising campus operations. Those functions belong to a different role.
  
  

Youth Counselor Key Responsibilities

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
• Strong storytelling and facilitation presence — capable of maintaining children's engagement for one-hour sessions
• Willingness to work on-site at the Alpha campus in Brownsville, TX
• Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
