Technology Operations Specialist, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

2 Hour Learning is expanding a new approach to K-12 education through AI-powered personalized learning. With new campuses opening on a consistent schedule, the line between operational readiness and failure often comes down to execution fundamentals: correct devices, provisioned and enrolled; accurate SaaS licenses, active and allocated; communication tools, configured and validated.

This role involves overseeing device procurement from Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo; administering MDM (mobile device management) and provisioning processes; managing SaaS subscriptions and renewals across 14 platforms; and delivering the campus technology onboarding playbook (including Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms). You will capture what succeeds, refine standard operating procedures, and leverage AI tools to automate recurring tasks.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage complete device procurement cycles across Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo, monitoring lead times and shipment schedules to ensure campuses receive equipment prior to launch dates
• Provision, image, enroll, and manage the full lifecycle of student and staff devices via an MDM platform, maintaining precise asset inventory records across all campuses
• Oversee SaaS accounts, user permissions, and license allocation across 14 platforms, proactively managing utilization thresholds and renewal timelines to avoid service interruptions
• Deliver the new-campus technology onboarding playbook, preparing devices, provisioning systems, and setting up Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms ahead of opening day
• Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and launch checklists, refining them with each campus deployment and using AI tools to automate repetitive procedures
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Operating as a queue-focused helpdesk technician evaluated primarily on ticket throughput
• Building long-term IT architecture plans or engaging in strategy discussions while launch deadlines pass
• Executing unstructured purchasing without inventory tracking, vendor management, or specification documentation
• Relying on others to create process documentation (you will ensure launches are repeatable and not reliant on institutional knowledge)
  
  

Technology Operations Specialist Key Responsibilities

This position ensures that every campus launch and ongoing operation proceeds on schedule because devices, SaaS access, and launch-critical technology systems are completely provisioned and operational before day one.

Basic Requirements

• Currently located in the United States and authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
• Willing and able to travel periodically to US campuses
• Experience administering an MDM (mobile device management) platform such as ManageEngine, Jamf, Intune, Mosyle, or equivalent
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting end-user devices (laptops or tablets), including provisioning/imaging and troubleshooting
• Experience administering SaaS platforms, including account provisioning, permissions management, and license management
• Experience coordinating hardware procurement and delivery logistics and/or running asset tracking workflows
• Evidence of creating or maintaining operational documentation such as SOPs, runbooks, or playbooks
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to troubleshoot technical problems or automate repetitive operational workflows
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Experience supporting a distributed, multi-site environment where inventory, spares, and repairs must be managed across locations
• Strong track record of building simple automations that reduce manual provisioning and reporting work
• Experience configuring or administering communication tools such as Google Voice, Zoom Phone, or Zoom Rooms

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
