What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Performance Strategist, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You know that refusing to lower expectations is the most generous act you can offer a student. Your own track record speaks for itself: elite-level competition, top-tier academic achievement, entry into a highly selective organization, or a venture you launched and grew independently. Imagine channeling that same rigor into the lives of K-12 students who have never encountered someone like you—someone committed to pushing them toward standards they didn't believe they could meet. If you think holding students to elite benchmarks is too demanding, this isn't for you.
Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 learning, enabling students to complete core academics in roughly two hours per day. The remainder of their time is dedicated to life skills, self-directed projects, and meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose own accomplishments model excellence: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding students through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.
Your role is not instructional. AI delivers the academic content. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and maintain the same exacting standards you've applied to your own life. Forty percent of your time will be spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions that identify obstacles and establish stretch goals. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement alone. The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning kickoffs that set a daily tone where mediocrity has no place.
The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning students' trust. Within a few months, you become the person they allow to challenge them beyond their perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's continuity: the same students, year after year, maturing with your guidance. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a room of adults in May.
This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a means to another role. If your motivation for leaving your current position is the mission itself—not career optics—apply now.
